About Course

The A2 Level in Chinese marks the elementary stage for learners who have a basic understanding of the language and are ready to build on that foundation. At this level, you will gain more confidence in expressing yourself in common situations, using a wider range of vocabulary and more complex sentence structures. The A2 level is all about improving your fluency in everyday communication, allowing you to handle more detailed conversations about personal experiences, daily routines, and other simple topics.

At this level, you will continue to expand your vocabulary to include words and phrases related to travel, shopping, work, hobbies, and daily life. You will learn to use more varied sentence structures and grammar patterns, such as describing actions in progress, expressing future intentions, and using comparative forms. You will also expand your knowledge of Chinese characters, learning additional basic characters to improve your reading and writing abilities.

In terms of listening, you will be able to understand simple conversations about familiar topics, such as talking about your family, ordering food, or making small talk with friends. You will start to recognize more natural speech and improve your ability to follow simple directions and instructions.

Speaking at the A2 level focuses on expressing ideas more clearly, allowing you to describe your experiences and activities in greater detail. You will also learn to ask for clarification, and make polite requests. Writing practice will involve writing short paragraphs about personal experiences, hobbies, and daily activities, as well as filling out forms and writing simple emails.

By the end of the A2 course, you will be able to engage in simple conversations and understand basic written texts, such as ads, short emails, and letters. You will also be ready to move on to more complex communication tasks at the B1 level, where you will deepen your understanding of Chinese grammar and expand your conversational skills.
